2018 Ford F-150

The F-150 body is up to 700 lbs. lighter than the previous generation, made of high-strength, military-grade, aluminum alloy. Not aluminum in the household sense, but heat-treated and hardened aluminum alloy - the same high-grade 6000-series used in big military and industrial applications. Beneath this aluminum-alloy body is a fully boxed frame made of up to 78 percent high-strength steel.

Amazingly, with stock performance and handling components, F-150 Raptor completed the 49th SCORE Baja 1000 with just basic race modifications. Beneath the hood is a high-output 450-hp 3.5L EcoBoost® engine with the Torque-On-Demand® transfer case. Exceptional handling comes courtesy of BFGoodrich® all-terrain tires, FOX Racing Shox™, available 4.10 front axle with TORSEN® differential, plus Terrain Management System™ with six driver-selectable modes and Hill Descent Control™.
